Day 76 - 17th March 2013 - Geese, Ducks and Waves

Happy St Patrick's Day to all of you with Irish roots (myself included) or those of you who just like an excuse for a good party! Apparently I'm beginning to get used to sleeping in, umm what's up with that. Another brisk morning, temperature is -6.3 but hopefully will warm up.  I guess today's activities will depend on what the weather does - if it's nice like yesterday I'll be outside, although they are giving a few flurries.
Saturday was a beautiful day even if it was a tad bit chilly. I spent a lot of time over at the lake enjoying the various ducks and of course Kate and William. It's like having our own bird sanctuary. We headed out to Barrington to do our grocery shopping in the morning, got home shortly after lunch. Spent more than normal but stocked up on some things I was running low on so all is good. Went over the causeway to the nice park they have and took a few photos. Larry wanted to work on his wood shed and I wanted to visit the ducks again so we didn't go around the Island today. Saturday was the last day to tend the farm - Larry's been critter sitting while neighbours have been away, sheep, chickens and a donkey. Thank goodness the second week quieted down. Week number 1 started off with a bang - 2 new lambs were born the first few days. Glad these were experienced ewes as it's been almost 30 years since I've had to deliver lambs. Oh yes I have many talents!
 Kate and William.
 Looking towards Sherose Island.
On the way home, can see the intersection.
Wood ducks in the foreground, Mallards in the back.
Barrington in the background, not sure if this is part of an old wharf.

 Looking regal as ever.
Mergansers came in with the rest of the ducks.
The whole gang of Mallards were in.
Mergansers are shy and don't hang around long for photo shoots.
Kate and William head out to the royal homestead.

Time for my coffee. Enjoy your day!
