Day 143- 23rd May 2014 - Clematis, Clintonia and Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker

TGIF it sure is! Another foggy morning, but looks like it will clear. Those Song Sparrows are out there singing their hearts out again this morning - love that sound. The Rooster up the road is sounding his wake up call as well. A great way to the start the day. Feeling better than I did when I got home last night. Still some discomfort/pain in my head but forward I go. Lots to get done at the office today since I don't feel like I've done much all week. Fine weather or the weekend and I'm going hunting or some Warblers!
What a grueling day we had on Thursday. Mom and I left at noon so we could get lunch before my appointment.  Got there early enough to fill out paperwork etc, and then we sat and sat and sat some more. Over 4 hours before I got in to see him only because 2 others who were ahead of me left. One woman said "what time does the office close? " my quick mouth said "Midnight, since that's when we'll all be out of here". He had several emergencies and got backed up, but truthfully I think an hour wait is at least the norm and that's what I had in mind. However, he and his staff were very nice and apologetic. There has to be a better system, in the last week I've spent most of my time waiting for medical professionals.
Clematis Nelly Mosher  has a lovely bloom, need to get her in the ground this weekend.
This Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was playing coy with me but didn't seem to be bothered he just kept tapping away. He's at this old tree most mornings.
Clintonia is beginning to bloom, yellow flowers now and later big blue berries.
The Wild Violets are just about spent for another season.
Mourning Dove was enjoying the bird bath the other day.

Enjoy your day!

  1. Well hello my much more bubbly friend! It's nice to read between the lines that you are in. Much better frame of mind this am. I can commiserate with your frustration with the wait. Emergencies do happen and if you or a loved one had a visual emergency which might threaten your ability to see then I guess you would be thankful there was a specialist there! However this is the sad state if our health care system and shortage of MD to cover the general populace. I am glad you stayed put as the hours went by I assumed an emergency had come up and had visions of you taking off out of the office. I suppose your Mom duct taped you to the chair. Nobody messes with Bah ;). I will check in on you later...Chin up you are on the mend!
