Day 142 - 22nd May 2014 - Chickadee, Cobwebs and Dandelions

A little fog out there this morning, showers later today. A choir of Song Sparrows are on both sides of the yard singing up a storm. Somewhere I can hear a neighbour's cat howling which really doesn't fit in with the morning songs. Work this morning then off to Yarmouth to see the eye specialist. The itching seems to have subsided some but the pain still comes in waves, maybe not as severe as it was. Sleep is still disturbed but improving I think. Hoping by next week I can get back to exercise class. I miss those evenings I love to hate.
Lexi and I enjoyed our day off. Flies weren't too bad early so I went with my camera for a short walk. Think I spotted a Black and White Warbler but I'm not chasing anything that moves fast til my eye feels better. Right now I'm trying to switch eyes which is not that easy so flowers and plants are the best things to capture, unless a bird just happens to pose for me! Weather was nice, fog cleared off and then it rained around supper time, clearing again early in the evening. Flies were back before noon when I had Lexi out for a run. Little bit of housework, laundry, cooked supper and the day was pretty well over.
I was roaming through a neighbour's yard and spied this beauty. Have not idea what it is.
 There were cobwebs everywhere!
 Star flowers are in bloom.
This little fellows was so cute - Lexi and I were on the deck and he hopped right up.
 I love the red Tulips.
 Who says Dandelions aren't beautiful.
Rhodora - usually found along edge of lakes and rivers. The old people said when the Rhodora was in bloom the fish wouldn't bite.

Enjoy your day!

  1. What a testament to Cindy(that or you are sucking up) lol I can see where you would miss your exercise classes. Well hopefully you are on the mend. I like the dandelions as they are the first sign of colour and can never resist picking one and admiring the intricacy of the seeds. Lots of fun out by the pond last might although the June Bugs like the solar lights and we'll I hate them. Oh had a bat swoop by last night the first one I have seen in ages...we used to see them along the shore. well off to work and another busy day. Keep me posted on your progress and an update following your appointment. Middle Sista out
