Day 285 - 11th October 2013 - Cobwebs, Fog, Reflections and Grandmother's Journal

Did better this morning but still too early. Oh well might as well roll with the punches! So it's my last official day of work for the season. Still have some things that need to be crossed off my to do list. Here's hoping for a quiet uneventful day. Not as cool out there this morning and no fog yet, temperature is +6.5.
My walk in the morning was definitely chilly. The fog was so thick you couldn't see across the lake. Thursday was some what of a frustrating day or at least most of the morning was. I wish people/places who are looking for donations of money would check before they call. It just really annoys me and drags me away from what I'm doing. I was considering ripping the phone out of the wall and tossing it out of the window. After a while I did get some of the things knocked off my list. Had a visit from one of our local distance members, nice to see him again. Was tired and had a headache so skipped exercise last night. Did make a nice chicken and pasta in peanut sauce for supper. Fairly quick and easy to toss together on a work night. Dishes done and my feet up with some tylenol.
Time for Grandmother's Journal to round off the work week:
11th October 1974 - To town to wash. Lovely but very cold today. Trees beginning to get bare. Bob came down in afternoon to pick Sidney up. Very cold and windy.
12th October 1974 - Lovely morning. Turned overcast late afternoon. Windy and westerly all day. I wasn't outside, worked all day getting ready for Birthday Party - Mother's 78th. Sunday, Sidney here. Bobbie and Mike down Hemlock to here looking for trapping signs.
13th October 1974 - Lovely day, wind cold. Birthday Day. Had a family picnic here. Catherine, Bing, John, (Cathy had to work), Bettie, Bobbie, 3 kids, Ruth, Albert, Ann, Mother (Jim at school teaching), Bob and I. Had a great dinner and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
It was a morning of cobwebs!

And fog

Maybe I should have saved a few of these for Halloween.

 Reflections of a neighbour's dock.
The sun was working very hard to come through.

Enjoy your day!
