Day 283 - 9th October 2013 - Leaves, Lake and Yellow Rumped Warbler

I slept in until 6 am, only to get up to no internet again! Still dragging my butt from the long day. Got out for a walk around the hood - beautiful this morning, got some laundry on the go, returned a bunch of phone calls but not moving really fast. Time to take Lexi for a run.
Just as I left the house yesterday morning (in the dark) the rain came pouring down - figures  when you have to load and unload a ton of stuff that it takes that time to pour. It did clear off by lunch time. I of course didn't see much of it but was told what a beautiful day it turned out to be from the numerous people who came in to the poll. Truthfully it  wasn't a bad day considering it was almost 15 hours long if you count the travel time.  It went by pretty quickly as we were fairly busy most of the time. Needless to say I was beat when I got home.
Leaves were pretty on the lake this morning, but sparse in places.

Yellow-rumped warbler, still in the hood.

Enjoy your day!

  1. Ok so I am going to try this again....for some reason I lost my internet while trying to comment. Loved the photos even the bird lol...little disappointed you had no political rant. Have faith I would like to think that those of us voted a different way do MATTER and that this boundary thing led to and attributed to the outcome....ughhhh for the life of me one thing that I can't get out of my head is who sold Nova Scotia Power to begin with as at the time that deal was the biggest in Canadian History. Seems to me that it is pretty well impossible to come in and dictate to a private company their rates yet if it had remained a gov. entity things could have been done...oh well food for thought or should I say kilowatts for thought. I hope that made you smile!!! Rest up Sista big weekend at the park and the last of the camping season we partying her up!!!!
