Day 129 - 8th May 2012 - Foggy Morning, Creeping Phlox and Wild Cherry Blossoms

Temperature is +2.7 this morning and very foggy. Guess the fog will help the farmers with problems with frost. Today will be a long one, work all day then home for supper and then a meeting in Barrington this evening. Glad tomorrow is my day off, but I have lots to do then too. So I might as well say it's a busy week. When I checked my emails this morning, there was one from a friend saying she wished I could see the moon last night (this was at 11pm). I chuckled as we both knew that I was long in bed by that time. It's rather nice that the moon is still making a presence. There have ben lots of photos floating around between Saturday and Sunday night of the "Super Moon".  Good excuse for families and friends to get out and enjoy life.

It turned out sunny and fairly warm yesterday, just the kind of day you want to be at work! Oh well it has to be. Everything is budding out. The hardwood trees are getting leaves, the apple blossoms are just starting. Thing looks green and clean. I'm not keen on early spring as everything looks dirty and grimy but now is a different story. Larry's boss gave us some chocolates, so you know I had to try a few of each after supper. They are sooo good and it's been a while since I've had the really good stuff. Like a drug, I am addicted to chocolate!
One lone duck on the lake this morning.
But the view was beautiful - clear blue lake and sky. You just can't get much better than this.
I think this is creeping phlox. Small but very pretty.
Purple Finch enjoying a little snack. Well more like a big snack by the look of those seeds.
Not sure if this is wild cherry or wild pear.
Well it's time for me to kick into gear, do a few things and get ready for work. Enjoy your day!

  1. Sounds like you have a busy day, should have packed some chocolate in your pockets for energy. I am more of a peanut kind of a girl lol
