Day 315 - 10th November 2016 - Golden Crowned Kinglet, Downy Woodpecker and Red Breasted Nuthatch

A too early morning, stars are shining brightly in the sky and it feels a little milder. Doesn't look like frost - maybe another warm fall day. Guess I'll tackle the Bowling Alley today - yes that is the name of one of our rooms. Long and narrow with lots of windows. It's as good a place as any to start!
Well I had a great "vacation day" - did a lot of walking through the woods, enjoying the solitude. It was a good time to ponder and plan out projects, housecleaning and Christmas. I didn't putter around  bit, one can't be totally bone idle. The sun was warm all day and I didn't bother with a fire until late afternoon.  In the afternoon, four Golden Crown Kinglets joined the Chickadees in the yard. They flit and move so quickly it's hard to get good shots. Not feeder birds but they busy in the Lilac and Honeysuckle bushes as well as the Apple trees.

Grackle - he's fine just has a mouth full of sunflower seeds.

Enjoy your day!
