Day 94 - 4th April 2014 - Lake, Feeders and the Royal Couple

It's Friday, last of the work week, temperature is 0.1. Looks like their might be a small window of sunshine today - if so we are out to the hood, need to check out mayflower buds, etc. Looked around for the Beaver yesterday but no show, might find him today, never know. Have to finish some alterations and mending - another thing to go over my list.
Even though there were wet snow flurries in the morning and  some mixed rain/snow late afternoon I can hear and see spring. The Loons, Ducks and Geese are in the lake again. You can hear them early in the morning and at dusk as they make their way around the coves. Nothing sounds nicer after the harsh winter we've had and it gives me hope for better weather to come.  We went to a funeral yesterday afternoon - my heart went out to the family of Ida, never easy to say goodbye to your Mom no matter when. We always expect our parents to be around for ever, but sadly they are not immortal. I am fortunate to have both and treasure them. Went to exercise class last evening - good to have a hard workout, even though my feet and arms are often going in the wrong direction.
It was a morning for perfect reflections.
A pair of Black Ducks fly out of the cove.
I could almost see a glimmer of sunshine coming through the clouds.
 Soon.
A good variety - White breasted Nuthatch, Purple Finches and Gold Finch.
William and Kate - glad they've returned to us.
Fingers crossed they nest this year. They are such a regal looking couple.
They never mind posing for photos.

Enjoy your day!
