Day 198 - 17th July 2015 - Black & White Warbler, Yellow Rumped Warbler and Ladies Tresses

It's Friday, can't believe another week has flown by. Lots to do today - get things ready for the girls on the waterfront for fundraising on Saturday and get ready for researchers arriving next week.  It's the Founder's Day weekend with lots of activities on the waterfront over the next few days. I've got to take photos of the Regiment doing drills, their encampment etc. on Saturday.
Busy day at work and a great turnout at the Book Launch. So happy to see so many from far and near attend. Pleased to say we have another one behind us. Those last few weeks of finishing it up, etc. are the worse, hopefully people will like it.
Black & White Warbler - what a cutie!
I think we were having a stand off - Yellow Rumped Warbler.
There were several Young Rumped Warblers around yesterday morning.

And Woodpeckers.
Ladies Tresses (I think) from the Orchid family.

Enjoy your day!

  1. Hi, Nice Blog.
The picture of the flower is probably a Pyrola, either shin leafed or round leafed. Orchids have a bottom lip or pouch, these petals are all equal an in a circular formation.

    Respectfully, George Forsyth
