Day 77 - 18th March 2014 - Ice, Water and Chickadees

Brrr - another cold morning, temperature is -12. but the good news is that the rest of the week looks mild. Thinking that will send the ice in the lake on it's way. Now that would make me one happy girl! Seems the winter has lasted forever, Spring arrives on Thursday so hopefully it is welcomed with open arms. The sun is warmer and stronger these days even when it is cold. Got a project to start on today so will be off for a few hours getting that underway.
It was cold on Monday, but Lexi and I bundled up and hit the hood. Good walking, the ground is firm (or frozen) but no ice so I could wear sneakers and get a little cardio going. Did some research work, but hit a few brick walls, will have to wait until I get to town and some more resources to hopefully sort that one out.  Exercise class last night - as always a workout. Put together a rice and chicken dish for supper - it was tasty and finished it up with some of the apple crisp and ice cream. Definitely a reason why I need to exercise.
I don't think this clothesline will hold many clothes.
 Swamps are still icy.
Thin layers of ice in the some of the ditches.
Woodpeckers were hanging around again today.
That's water! Beaver farm Lake is beginning to break around the shore.
This was running down a ditch but I guess the last few days it froze.
This little guy is so sweet, even Lexi got close to him.
They flutter all over the yard.

Enjoy your day!
