Day 294 - 20th October 2012 - Sunrise and Autumn Leaves

I made it almost to 5:30am this morning - feels so much better! It's Saturday - we were going to Dorothy & Roger's today but since they are giving up to 50mm of rain, decided to park ourselves at home. Would just be a miserable trip and we really love the Islands and getting out and around taking photos etc. so we'll try for another weekend. Hopefully the first week in November will still be good weather and not too cold. Today is the Municipal/Town elections in the province - am thinking locally that should turn out to be rather interesting. Off to town later for groceries and a few errands, then home to do some work around here, maybe curl up with my book for a while and wait out the weather. The rest of the week looks sunny.
I started yesterday with a trip down to the lake to catch the sunrise - soft colors with a bit of mist rising up off the lake. I finished the fall cleaning upstairs - 5 rooms done, 16 more to go. Maybe it's too early to count down! It turned out to be another beautiful day, Lexi and I took a roam through the woods and over around the lake - our normal walk. Unfortunately my early mornings caught up with me in the afternoon and I crashed on the sofa and snoozed for a while.
Just a hint of pink in the sky reflecting in the water.
Peaking between Islands.
Nature's beauty.
Red is my favourite color.
It was a great morning on the lake with the mist rising and the reflections of the trees and sky.
Time for another coffee. Enjoy your day!

  1. Oh Kim....those two pictures of the leaves are spectacular! The colours are so vivid! You certainly have caught the essence of our fall colours. Thanks!
