Day 222 - 9th August 2016 - Palm Warbler, Black & White Warbler and Water Lily

Work today and Exhibition parade night. Going to be a bit rushed to get home and Larry back on the road again with the Fire truck to go in the parade. Hopefully everything falls into place as it should.  Another cool, clear morning, stars are all out and two Loons are calling to one another in the lake.
It was a lovely day off  -warm but a breeze all day, making it not quite as uncomfortable as it has been. Of course some of that maybe down to me wearing shorts and a tank instead of the three layers of  clothing I normally wear for work. In the effort to conserve water ( I just don't want to check the well) housework was limited. Like many other people our well is getting very low. Got a nice morning walk in, lots of regular birds but nothing out of the ordinary.
Palm Warbler - there are so many of them around these days.

Black & White Warbler.

Magnolia Warbler - I keep wanting to turn him into something else but it doesn't work.
A Water Lily.

Enjoy your day!

  1. Oh, the picture of the water lily brought back so many memories for me. Swimming in the lake, diving down to pull up the lily pads from the root when they impeded our swimming and bringing Mom bouquets of these beautiful flowers. My grandkids hate the mud when they're swimming but I used to play in it and cake it on myself then lay on turtle rock for it to dry. Childhood on Lake Deception was the absolute best. Thanks Kim. :)
