Day 220 - 7th August 2016 - Woodpecker, Common Yellowthroat and Black & White Warbler

Seems the rain missed us last night, sounds  like  coastal areas  got some, we had a brief period of thunder but that was it. Now there is none in the forecast for another week. I've been careful with the water these last few weeks. Knowing you can't really save it when the water table goes down but I'm trying not to use it all up at once. Guess I better whip up a bunch of muffins for Larry's lunch box this week, then I'll head out for a look around the hood before getting ready for work.
Busy Saturday at work, lots of really nice people in and out. It's nice to see folks taking children to museums, it was one of our favourite summer past times as kids. Day trips to museums around the province. In particular I can remember Fort Anne and Port Royal, the Shubenacadie Wildlife Park, maybe a trip to Halifax would round out the summer. Often our Aunt, Uncle, Cousin and Great Grandmother would join us, so two cars  would be loaded up and picnic lunches  packed in the trunk of the car and off we would go.
Female Woodpecker.

Common Yellowthroat Warbler played shy, hiding among the foliage.

Enjoy your day!
