Day 220 - 8th August 2015 - Black-throated Blue Warbler, Northern Parula and Sunset

Looks like rain on the way for the today and tomorrow. Not going to be a lot of changes this weekend to get out birding. Have to tackle groceries sometime today, a few other errands. This afternoon or evening we have a birthday celebration to attend for a friend. I'm thinking the next few days will fly by pretty quick. Hard to squeeze everything in to two days.
Beautiful day to end the work week.  My morning walk yielded a few birds - Northern Parula, Red-eyed Vireos, Blue Jays, Belted King Fisher, Song Sparrow, Swamp Sparrow and Black-Throated Blue Warbers. Very very busy at the office, lots of people in researching. Days like this make me realize I'm good at what I do (not bragging). It makes me feel great  when people leave  having found their ancestors or just that little piece of the puzzle they've been searching for.  Friday was one of those days. Hair cut after work  - that feels good too! A lazy evening, short walk, then tea with Lois on her deck. Nothing like solving the world's problems or at least getting mine in perspective.
The sun shines through the fog in a neighbour's driveway.
Northern Parula hanging out in the branches.
Black-throated Blue Warbler - saw several of these yesterday (males) and one female below.
She wasn't co-operating at all. But I got several good looks at her to know who she was.

Last evening - in the west the sun was setting through the trees.

Enjoy your day!
