Day 222 - 10th August 2014 - Lilies, Damselflies, Magnolia Warblers and a Flycatcher

Looks like another nice day in the forecast except for a "chance of a shower". They give that every day so it doesn't mean all that much. It's been a great long weekend. This afternoon we are off for a  ride on the new boat that was built in the boat shop where Larry works. I'm bribing the Captain/Owner of the boat with trifle and will make some sandwiches this morning to take as well. It will be a nice outing with food and sea air. Might even have time later to take a drive to Cape Sable Island and have look for that Avocet that was spotted last evening. Who knows where we made end up.
A day at home - sometimes you just have to stay put and get some things done. Roamed the hood a couple of times throughout the day, not sure what's up but it was unusually quiet. On the other hand my backyard seems to be hopping.  It was a beautiful day Saturday, sun, nice breeze but dare I say it had the feel of fall in the air. I hope this is not  a sign that summer is coming to an end already.
Some beautiful Stargazer Lilies from Lois'.

 Lovely day on the lake.

 The Damselflies are busy mating.

My nemesis this summer - the Magnolia Warbler.
 A juvenile I think.

A Flycatcher of some kind - maybe an Alder or Least.

Enjoy your day!
