Day 157 - 6th June 2014 - Twin Flowers, Song Sparrow and Lilacs

An early morning, but it's Friday so that's a relief except today I'm in a meeting most of the day and tomorrow is the Town wide yard sale. I'll only be there for a couple hours hopefully. My brother is home for a visit so will have to catch him sometime over the weekend and find some time to get groceries. Seems like a long week, but that's mostly because I've been going in with Larry the last few mornings and get to work about 7:30 am. Good time to get things done but I miss my morning walk through the woods and along the lake.
Not a bad day, Thursday in the weather department - started raining around supper time. Was glad to get home, some what of a difficult day, although it ended on a better note with nice researchers. Some people you can instantly like and this couple was like that. I skipped exercise class last night and ate 3 pieces of cheesecake, probably not the best idea but that's what I needed last night. In my defense it did have blueberries on top and fruit is good right?
A few are in bloom, little pink bells, two to a stem - Twin Flowers. These are my favourite. I think they are so tiny and delicate.

There are at least 1 pair of Song Sparrows around the yard. Guessing they are nesting.
Creeping the neighbour's yards again, not sure what this is but it's pretty.

 Iris' will soon be blooming.
There are lots of butterflies around - this one is enjoying the Lilac blooms.

Enjoy your day!

  1. I love that little pink plant too. Hopefully one of your readers can identify it. I haven't even had a chance to get a lilac bouquet yet... mine weren't open enough. I hope the rain hasn't ruined them all. Have a super Friday Kim. :)

  2. You had to show the lilac didn't ya!! Mine have finally shown up but this morning while touring the yard I noticed how many hummingbirds I had around the honeysuckle bushes and bumblebees. The bumblebees are huge!! Oh and just so you know any fruit added to the top of a cheesecake cancels out the the extra calories :) Have a productive day
