Day 154 - 3rd June 2014 -Cedar Waxwings, Red-Eyed Vireo and the Lake

Another nice morning coming through, sun is up over the trees along the lake. I can see that  glow through the leaves. Sounds like we might get a little rain later this week, well it's dry and the lake has really dropped so some rain would be welcome I'm sure. Also helps to keep the forest fire index down as right now we are in a red - do not burn zone. Always a worry for us country folks. Today's plan is to finish off the display this morning, get everything together and head to the library after lunch for set up. Tomorrow evening is our Dessert and Display night - fingers crossed it's a good fundraiser.
Monday was a good day overall - just a few more labels to finish off on the display and that will be ready to put up this afternoon. Hoping for this afternoon so I don't have to make a trip to town after supper to do it. A few researchers around in the afternoon. Sun was out and warm - felt good. Exercise class last night, sure I'm going to be hurting by tomorrow.
It was great fun watching the Cedar Waxwings eating the apple blossoms. I know that farmers dislike them, but since these trees don't really bear great fruit I'd rather watch the birds.

Red--eyed Vireo, tormented me the other day.
Woodpeckers are faithful.
Song Sparrow was singing away.

Another reflective morning on the lake.
Hiding behind the oak leaves you can just see a Black and White Warbler.

Enjoy your day!
