Day 156 - 5th June 2014 - Birds, Lupins, Lady Slipper and Honeysuckle Bush

Early morning - will make for a long day. Well back at it today, doesn't really feel like I had the day off since part of it was work related.  Time to get some things finished up, next on the list is a meeting tomorrow and the Town Wide Yard Sale on Saturday. Hopefully we will raise some money from that. Some rain on the way later today/this evening. Think we might have had a drop or two during the night but not much for sure.
Wednesday turned out to be another beautiful day!! I had a lot of inside work to do, but managed a good walk in the morning as well as a couple jaunts with Lexi throughout the day. Finally seeing a bit more action in the hood these days with birds. Made a  Berry Trifle for the fundraiser last evening. Of course we got ready - the same three of us that show up and do everything and had a low turnout. I'm beginning to wonder what it is that we could do to as a fundraiser that people in this area would actually support. It's so discouraging for those of us that actually put work into things.
Breakfast or nesting material, I'm not sure which.
Finally the hood is beginning to come alive!! Common Yellow throated Warbler.
A few days of sunshine and blooms are beginning.
My honeysuckle bush is in full bloom. Smells so good in the yard with Lilac and Apple Blossoms and this.
Doing a little cleaning or preening.
The showiest of our wildflowers - Lady Slipper.
The Red-eyed Vireo hanging around the yard is beginning to get a little friendlier.

Enjoy your day1
