Day 233 - 20th August 2012 - Goldfinch, the Lake and Butterflies

Monday has arrived again...blah! Not much we can do about it so might as well just get on with the day. They go fast enough that it really doesn't matter. Have some research to finish off for people, hopefully I can get at least one of them done today, along with a few other things. My goal is to get a lot of stuff caught up by the end of the month. Not sure how successful I'll be but will give it a try.

More humidity on Sunday, rain early in the day, cleared off then a shower before supper. Nova Scotia weather - wait 5 minutes and it will change! It's that time of year when we start blanching and freezing vegetables for the winter months. Even though fresh vegetables may be the way to go, I would rather eat my own frozen vegetables than the fresh available in the stores in January- ya just never know where they've come from and most of the time they are flavourless and way too expensive.
A goldfinch sits o the telephone line.
Kind of a grey day on the lake.
The Lake is still low, sticks and rocks are showing everywhere.
Wild cherries, maybe.
A butterfly among the flocks.

I don't know a lot about butterflies, so not sure what kind this one is.
But he's rather pretty.

Well time to move on, the rest of the house will be waking and I need another cuppa! Enjoy your day!

  1. Monday already ughh lots going on this week. Jordan to the specialist tomorrow and full blown wedding chaos I am up to the challenge. Staying positive as I am sure it will all work out well. The bachelorette was fun but I feel old. Lol. Well you have a good day I believe the butterfly is a member of the monarch family. :).
