Day 159 - 11th June 2017 - Lady Slippers, Yellow Rumped Warbler and Clyde River

Weekend has ended, back to work.Forecast is giving fine weather but the sky was bright red again this morning. It's warm and feels like summer now.  Had a great three days off, but they seem to go so fast! We took a drive up to Bear Brook Sunday morning, heard lots of birds but most of them wouldn't come out of the woods. American Redstarts,Red Eyed Vireos, Chestnut Sided, Yellow, Yellow Rumped Warblers, Swamp Sparrows, Alder Flycatcher, Barn Swallows were just a few. No wildlife other than what was on the road, sadly we came across a dead young Bobcat. Really a shame, someone must have hit it with a vehicle. Then it was back home to do Sunday chores and get ready for the work week.
Lady Slippers are blooming in the shadow of the forest.
 Yellow Rumped Warbler
The meandering Clyde River cuts across the back road.

Enjoy your day!
