Day 345 - 10th December 2016 - Evening Grosbeaks, Goldfinch and Blue Jay

Friday seemed like the first day of winter- a blizzard like flurry of snow in the morning covered the trees and the ground.  It seemed so pretty at the time, but then I though - we've got a few months of this it might get old fast! The business of boots, jackets gloves/mitts etc every time you want to go out - ah well, I still wouldn't trade all four seasons.  The snow made the feeders very busy all day - lots of activity with an increase in the flock of Evening Grosbeaks to 13 now, Goldfinches, Mourning Doves, Blue Jays, Chickadees, Nuthatches and three Starlings joined the group later in the the day. I continued with the marathon baking  until early afternoon, then got things cleaned up and moved on to do a few other chores. Working this morning, more snow down overnight.
