Day 339 - 4th December 2016 - Blue Jay, Red-Wing Blackbird and Purple Finch

A few morning showers on Saturday but overall not a bad day. Most every day has a chill in the air now but that's the season and after the first few days we get used to it. Had a good day, groceries, bird seed a few other errands in town than off to a meeting in Port Mouton. Decided we might as well take a run into Liverpool when that was over. It's been a long time since we've travelled the old road through Summerville. Can't believe how that area has grown. It's nice sometimes to take an scenic road rather than speeding along on the main highway.  You know - that old saying "stop and smell the roses". Most of the time we are always in a rush to go from point A to B, no time to enjoy what is right in front of us.  Today is wreath making with some cousins. Part of the holidays that I really appreciate and enjoy. That time spent with family - laughter, fun and food. Think I'll make a batch of brown bread rolls to take, will go great with homemade soup.

Handsome devil - Blue Jay.

Red-Wing Blackbirds - took this a month or so ago.

Purple Finch

Enjoy your day!
