Day 21 - 21st January 2015 - Red-Wing Black Bird, Junco, Sunflower and Rope

Brr... the temperature has dropped again, -9 this morning. Big change from the last few days when it was above 0.  Off to town - errands, volunteer work, etc. Might catch up with a couple of the girls and go to lunch with them, if not it will be  Beandock day for me. Bacon & Scallop Wrap maybe.
Another good day in the country. Another grant application finished and submitted, one more to do - it's longer and requires more thought process. Sounds like there will get lots of money - not so, three are for a summer student but since you can never be sure which application will be approved you apply for all three. It was a really windy day and the sun would come out and then the clouds would drift by and it would be come overcast. Every once in a while there was a bit of snow but never for long. Lexi and I roamed around as we normally do, still haven't got the mail as it's so icy in front of the box. Ribs for supper were delicious - marinated them for a few hours then popped them in the oven. Still no Redpolls at the feeders!
The RWBB was hanging with a Blue Jay yesterday morning, but returned in the afternoon by himself.
Our regular Junco hiding in the Honeysuckle Bush.

No blooms or leaves but still plenty of thorns.

A little black and white.
 Daffodils are coming up!
I can't believe that this sunflower is still standing - may not look that great but wind, rain, snow - it battles on.
A little rope Larry has around the yard.

Enjoy your day!
