Day 235 - 22nd August 2013 - Glads, Clitonia Berries, Ducks, Pine Cones and Sunrises

Larry got up an hour earlier to go to work today - a deadline, job to get finish. I rolled over and went back to sleep. Unusual for me, but I guess this morning I wasn't ready to get up at 4:30am. It's thursday already and work week is flying by. I have so many things I want to get done in the next two days, I'm not sure where I should start. Pick one and plod through I guess is the answer, till the task is done. I noticed last evening when I was downloading photos that my camera has rolled another 10,000 over. Seems I take an awful lot of photos.
Had a great day off. Left the house around 7 to get in my walk, pretty quiet these days around the hood. But it was good to clear my head and get my thoughts where they needed to be. A quick whip around the house, then Karen and I went off to visit our friend Kim after lunch. Had a great afternoon and it's been too long since I've seen her. She's the type of person that you instantly like the minute you meet. She looks great and I'm hoping that things stay well for her. More fresh vegetable from the garden last night for supper. I have to soon re-organize the freezer so we can get some more in there for winter. I keep hearing people say they've been canning their veggies, should really try that some year, would save a lot of space. I would still rather eat our frozen produce than half of what comes in to Sobeys in the winter time. Sorry but I find most of that doesn't have much flavour.
The red glads have begun to open, love the color.
The Clitonia now has berries. Several months ago we saw the flowers.
 Landing.
Am seeing a lot of cones around this year.
Yesterday morning the lake was beautiful with the golden glow of the sun and mist rising up.

 Flying off into the mist.
The water was so calm, everything was reflected perfectly.

Enjoy your day!

  1. I didnt know Larry was coming in early lol...they are making great head way and I will be glad to see that boat gone. Dont get me wrong wonderful people to work with but the boat was a major project and Billy treated it as if it were his and wanted to try and save the owner money...oh well...would have been nice if the previous owner had disclosed the fact that it had been udner water and a few other issues....we are muddling through. I am off to Yarmouth later this morning for the "Shell Meeting" not sure what that will entail but probably similar to the meeting held here for Irving...to do with procurement etc...should be fun "NOT"!!!! have a good day and I will likely talk to you on my way home :)
