Day 92 - 1st April 2017 - Purple Finches and Ice

Welcome April - may you bring sunshine with the passing weeks. Of course the old rhyme goes April Showers brings forth Mayflowers. Usually Mayflowers are here long before that but we can hope for less bad weather now. Maybe it's just an April Fools joke that they are forecasting a little of that white stuff (which will now remain nameless) later today and tonight. A Goose is hollering this morning in the lake - usually don't hear much from them until daylight. Ice has pretty well all left the lake, just a little around the coves. I'm off to work today, will take my computer and continue to match up the photos with the database -hoping to get that project done soon. I'm sure there will be other things to tackle too while I'm there. Yesterday was lunch in town and some errands. The weather was great, crocuses are mostly all up now but seem small, maybe a little fertilizer later.

The Purple Finches add a punch of color.

Icy branches from Wednesday.

Enjoy your day!
