Day 4 - 4th January 2016 - Greater White-fronted Goose and Ice

It's certainly raining out there this morning - just coming down in sheets! A dry summer but it's making up for it now.  But it's really mild so we'll save a little more of the wood pile. A good day to work inside - back to purging and sorting out that sewing room. Maybe a good day to have a big pot of soup simmering on the stove. Have some computer work to do as well.
Had an appointment in Yarmouth yesterday, fine weather for  driving and I was lucky enough to grab a quick shot of the Greater White Fronted Goose at the ball field. Nice to get a lifer this early in the year and even better since I've not gotten out a lot these last few months. The appointment went later than expected so we didn't end up getting home until mid afternoon instead of lunch time. Lexi is progressing well, took her too as I don't like leaving her for more than a few hours at a time. She still rests a lot but that's to be expected but much perkier than she was a week ago. Trivia last evening - oh we did bad but there weren't many of us on our team and it's all for fun!

Greater White fronted Goose - not great shots as I was taking them through the fencing.

He did offer up a little wing display for me.
A peaceful scene along our route.
The ice is like stained glass - the leaves and pine spills show through

Enjoy your day!
