Day 104 - 14th April 2015 - Crocuses, Great Blue Heron and Driftwood

Rain on it's way today. Mild at +4, but Larry is building a fire. The house is cold. It's the time of year it doesn't warm up well. Going to finish off the spring cleaning and do some cooking today. New recipe - 15 bean chili soup.
Summer has arrived - never mind spring! Temperature reached +23 yesterday (+15 inside)  and I headed out on the deck. Rolled up my capris and enjoyed the sunshine. Wow it sure makes you feel better. Seemed strange though when Lexi and I roamed through the woods and I was wearing t-shirt, capris and boots to get through the snow that is still in part of the paths. It's not deep and will soon be gone. Still large patches in the yard, but kitchen garden boxes are cleared now. Worked on the book in the morning and a little housework. Exercise class last night, won't be able to move again for a few days.
The beautiful color of Crocuses in the yard.

These are like the color of butter.
A weed left from last year, stands strong after the winter.
A Great Blue Heron at Blanche - our first of the season.
The sea washes up debris along the beach - lot of drift wood and lobster pots.

Enjoy your day!
