Day 198 - 17th July 2014 - Daisies, Song Sparrow, Pickerelweed and Batman

Not up quite so early this morning, which is great - a damp, overcast day out there but the Song Sparrows are still belting out a few tunes. Going to be a wet day and probably another of high humidity. The girls were in yesterday and started painting the office, can't wait to see how it looks. Lots to do today, Founder's Day festivities start tomorrow and I have a few things that need to be finished off before hand. It's the weekend for school reunions, people from away coming home to visit family and friends and lots of activities on the waterfront.
It was typical Nova Scotia weather yesterday - wait 5 minutes and it would change and it did. Rain - sun - showers - sun, but oh the humidity was terrible. Did some housework, made some cherry balls for my nephew - just too hot to make anything else. Roamed the hood but it was quiet in that direction. Called an old friend to catch up with her, it's good to keep in touch.
I've noticed a number of leaves that have died since the hurricane.
 Daisies along a fence.
There are always a few Song Sparrows around.
It's not Thistle but looks similar - lots along the roadside these days.
 Batman the Rooster.
 Pickerelweed - an aquatic plant.
I think this is Nodding Ladies Tresses from the Orchid family.
A touch of red.

Enjoy your Day!
