Day 38 - 7th February 2017 - Blue Jays, Goldfinches and Chickadees

Looks like some nasty weather on it's way for later day/tonight. Snow, freezing rain then rain - sounds like fun! Took  a ham out of the freezer to cook - will make some good leftovers for the next few days and something different for a change. Guess I'll have to do scallop potatoes to go with it. Today's going to be a repeat of yesterday in the work direction and maybe get a few things ready in case of a power outage. Time to get some things crossed off my to do list.
I stayed to the plan yesterday and got things done. A couple hours of database entry - boring!, some laundry, time in the kitchen, research and the library. In between Lexi and I did a little roaming around the hood and even stopped for tea with Lois. Seems like a lot of Blue Jays and Mourning Doves hogging the feeders these days. Good workout last night - sure a few muscles are going to be aching - I even used a 15lb weight last night! Challenging myself a little more.

One Blue Jay in a feeder pretty well fills it up - or maybe they just like to hog them.

Same thing in another feeder

But the Goldfinches found one they could share.
And the Chickadee picked up the leftovers on the ground.

Enjoy your day!
