Day 254 - 11th September 2015 - Wildflowers, Lily Pads and a Mallard

Up too early, this sucks but will carry on. No use complaining about it. It's Friday so that's a good thing. Lots I'd like to get done today, fingers crossed it goes smoothly and I accomplish all I set out to. Weekend around the corner, should be able to get birding in at least one day.
Well yesterday's rain really didn't amount to anything - don't even think  it made a puddle but last nights sure did. Glad to see it and my favourite kind - night rain! A few people in researching, some queries cleared up, but I never really seem to get ahead of the game. First night back to exercise class - made it though, a couple of spasms of pain but not too bad overall. I'm sure I'll hurt after missing so much time.
Wildflowers along my morning walk route.

Berries are ripening, think Donna must be right - Wild Raisin.
Lily pads are breaking up and not as pretty as they were a few months ago.

This female Mallard was hanging out on Dock Street, the only bird I saw all morning.

Enjoy your day!

  1. Are the wild flowers with the lilac coloured flowers called Asters? I absolutely love the punch of colour around the trout pond. Seems to be lots this year.
