Day 246 - 2nd September 2016 - Red Eye Vireo, Hummingbird and Sailing Boats

Well it's Friday, another of our little rain showers this morning - less than 5 minutes with a minimum amount of drops.  An Owl is hooting in the distance. Perhaps the tropical storm will bring some rain next week. That's what we need a  big old storm, not to mention it might bring a bit of bird fallout. The Old Farmer's Almanac is claiming a harsh winter for us - the weather just keeps getting better (Not). Oh well winter is a few months away and I'll be hunkered down at home tending the wood furnace and working on some of my own projects which will be a nice change. Too far away to think of yet.
It was one of those humid, dreary days with our standard 6 rain drops about mid morning. Birds are certainly quiet in the morning although I see some Palm Warblers and Red-Eyed Vireos around the yard after supper. Busy day at the museum- lots of visitors around.

I always see a Hummingbird on my morning walk.

Enjoy your day!

  1. My humming birds seems to be coming less and less... is it time for them to migrate I wonder?
