Day 248 - 4th September 2016 - Ovenbird, Magolia and Yellow-Rumped Warblers

Saturday we went to town a bit early for a side trip birding at the Industrial Park. Lots of bushes, trees etc and always a good spot for Warblers and I saw a number of them - Yellow Rump, Yellow, Magnolia, Northern Parulas, Ovenbirds, Red - Eyed Vireo, Chickadees and Catbirds. I missed a Wilson Warbler, but will try again this morning. A good day at work with a number of visitors through, always interesting are the international ones that find us.  Stopped for a quick catch up with friends on the way home and then a lovely supper of fish cheeks, baked potato and veggies. Managed to get some fresh cheeks this week and they were so good fried up with  a little lemon juice.
A couple of owls are pretty vocal this morning across the lake but other than that it's quiet this morning. Well it's kind of early for most things anyway. Daylight gets later, but the stars are nice twinkling in the sky as I drink my coffee on the deck. Off to work later this morning, but not before we head back down to the Industrial Park to see if I can find that Wilson Warbler again. Will head out a little earlier.
