Day 250 - 6th September 2016 - Ruddy Turnstone, Sanderlings and Least Sandpipes

Had a great day with hubby - we went down to the Industrial Park and then Hemeon's Head. No lifers today but still some good birds. The tide was almost high but we enjoyed walking the beach and then the back path and seeing the peeps. Couldn't believe that the first two ponds on the way down were totally dry and the back ponds are almost dry. What's nice about the peeps (small shorebirds) after a few minutes they mostly just ignore you and go about their business so you are free to snap as many pics as you want. Although down in the back ponds they were skiddish but we weren't long finding out why - a hawk was hanging out. Home by mid afternoon, muffins made, Larry did supper and I did the clean up. The deck is wet this morning so we must have had a little rain over night.  Larry's back to work  while I'm off so today will be housecleaning day!
There was only one Ruddy Turnstone.
 Sanderlings
 Least Sandpiper
Semipalmated Sandpiper

Semipalmated Plover
And a crab

Enjoy your day!
