Day 285 - 12th October 2015 - Fall Colors, Yellow-Rumped Warblers and Hermit Thrush

I'm off today, but Larry is working, so it's housework and hood day.  Looks like it's going to be another beautiful day. Stars are bright in the sky, air is definitely crisp and colder out there this morning.
It was a good thanksgiving. We had a morning at home - well I roamed the hood first and chased a couple of Golden-headed Kinglets with no luck of good shots. Larry worked outside, I made Apple & Cheddar muffins for his lunches. Then on to Mom and Dad's for Turkey - oh it was so good and of course I ate too much but that's the idea of family meals. We took a drive in to Cathy & Harold's camp to visit with them for a few minutes on the way home. Then put our feet up and enjoyed the rest of the evening at home. Truthfully I couldn't have moved too far.
It's very pretty along the lake these days. Color popping everywhere.

 Red-breasted Nuthatch.
More color.

Lots of Yellow-Rumped Warblers around.
This one is a little lighter and not so much yellow - maybe  a female or juvenile.
Hermit Thrushes are faithful posers.
Fungi explode from the forest floor.

Enjoy your day!
