Day 281 - 8th October 2015 - Reflections, Cobwebs, Chickadees and Purple Asters

I've overslept this morning and feel like I'm getting a cold - hope not! Bit nippy this morning but looks like a fine day in the forecast. Frost warning for tonight. Work day, plan to get lots more done and exercise class tonight.
Wednesday was another beautiful fall day. The only problem with this time of year, it's warmer outside than in the house - good excuse to spend extra time out doors in the sun. Thought about going somewhere since Larry was off, but it was a good day to catch up on the yard work. Last mowing for the season, cleaned out some of the kitchen garden, etc. I roamed the hood a bit, had tea with Lois on her deck and made two pans of stuffed Cannoli for supper this week and some went in the freezer for Larry's lunches. Still had some filling left so whipped up a small lasagna which served for his lunches the rest of this week.
Soft turning of leaves - lovely morning for reflections.

Lots of webs around.
Three or four Sparrows were flitting about.
And a number of Hermit Thrushes.
You can never have too many Chickaees - of course they are here all winter.
Brown-eyed Susans.
Purple asters still bloom in abundance.

Enjoy your day!
