Day 130 - 10th May 2018 - Palm Warbler, Ovenbird and Wood Ducks

Rain on the way this morning, you can see it in the sunrise. Song Sparrows are singing along the woods, Loon is calling in the lake. The joys of a spring morning. The Ovenbird has arrive - his familiar "Teach-er" song I heard long before I found him. Of course he wasn't feeling very photogenic yesterday morning but I'll catch him another day. He's in the same area as the last few years. Had both male and female Hummingbirds at the feeder - they were back and forth and visiting the neighbour's as well. The black flies are miserable, but they will go once it gets warm all the time. For now we just have to put up with them. Got some more of the house washed and some yard work done- just too nice to be inside. Larry mowed the lawn last evening after supper - first of the season. Today I'll tackle some housework and finish some sewing. Might be able to get out for a roam between rain drops.

Very bad pic of he Ovenbird

The Wood Ducks, first time I've seen her out in a week or more, but this was last evening.

She was splashing and washing.

Enjoy your day!
