Day 120 - 30th April 2018 - Palm Warbler, Canada Geese and Forsythia

Here we are at the last day of April, this year is flying by. Rain again overnight, maybe we'll be lucky and it will clear again like it has been the last few days. Weather sites say clearing around noon. Yesterday's weather was weird, rain stopped turned out sunny but very humid and then dark storm clouds rolled in. We didn't get any rain, but I'm sure it was some where. I worked around the house most of the day - lunch box prep, laundry, etc. Larry spent all day  filling the wood shed. By supper time that job was done. I'm sure that's a new first - usually it isn't done til mid summer. Too early to put the wood in the basement, but he does have the bulk of it blocked up and a lot split. I went for a roam in the morning, heard several Hermit Thrushes but none seem want their picture taken yet, a couple of Palm Warblers and a Yellow Rumped Warbler. The Belted Kingfisher returned a few days ago and caught sight of a Northern Flicker.  So things are slowly drifting into the hood. Today I'm off to town- have to work a couple of days - Cruise ship is coming to town on Wednesday.

Palm Warbler
Not sure if it was a weird mating ritual but they were flapping and squawking at one another and then 5 minutes later standing on the rock together.
Lois' Forsythia is in bloom.

Enjoy your day!
