Day 105 - 15th April 2018 - Red-Winged Blackbird, Red Breasted Merganser and Mallard

Cooler and windier this morning. Doesn't feel like it's going to be as nice as yesterday. Looks like the next few days are going to be rainy ones. Well we had a good outing yesterday even if we didn't see many birds.  First stop was the Industrial Park, thought for sure there would be a few new birds down there, but only Song Sparrows. Then we headed down toward Lockeport stopping at the East Jordan Breakwater - a couple of Red Breasted Mergansers, Loons and Song Sparrows. On to West Head  - quiet there -except for Song Sparrows, quick run into Lockeport - Eiders, Gulls and Song Sparrows. Finally we made it down to Hemeon's Head and found a Junco, couple of Mallards, a few Eiders, Gulls and Song Sparrows. Seems that where ever we went there were Song Sparrows in every bush or tree - singing away! Just as we got back to Shelburne found a few Red Winged Blackbirds. We walked over 5 miles which was great and didn't bother Larry at all- his new hip has done the trick! Played Aggravation last night and Alice and I beat Larry and Margie twice! Oh yes they had excuses - the color of the marbles etc but that just doesn't work! Off to Ingomar this morning to the Fire Department breakfast and maybe we'll see a few birds along the way!
