Day 98 - 8th April 2018 - Black Duck and Gadwalls

It was certainly noisy out there a few minutes ago for being so early in the morning, the Canada Geese were going up the lake - honking and honking. Either late going home or up early! No stars out, but no wind yet either, kind of a nice morning. After getting up way too early yesterday, I really didn't feel like doing a whole lot but plodded along - catching up on laundry etc. Went in town and picked up a few groceries. It snowed and rained in the morning but by late afternoon it cleared. Larry worked in the wood pile. I did go out for a short roam in the hood and then had a nap around supper time.  Just checking the weather sites - looks like they've ended the "weather warning" for us, some snow - not a lot (we'll probably get 3 feet now). The worse of the storm will be at the other end of the province. I guess it will be Sunday morning lunch box prep and all the normal stuff.
This was around the wetland park at Maccan. Always amazes me that  on the  Bay of Fundy side of the province, the water, soil etc are so different.
 Black Duck  takes flight
Didn't realized I had something different til I was looking back at some shots - they were on the other side of the pond (of course). Gadwalls. Something new to add to the list.

Enjoy your day!
