Day 163 - 11th June 2016 - Lupins, Shinleaf and a Hermit Thrush

Looks like a beautiful day in the making. Could hear an Owl up the lake and the Song Sparrows are very vocal this morning. I'm off to work today - feels a little strange working on a weekend, been a long time since I've done that but I'm good with it.  A birding friend just called to say he was off to CSI this morning and maybe the Cape. It should be a good morning, wind has died out. The lobster supper is at Upper Clyde today - we'll miss it but if you want a good meal in the country take a drive up. I hear Larry and Lexi stirring so guess it's time for me to get moving.
Good day off, although it didn't warm up much. Not a lot of time spent on the deck that's for sure. My morning walk was rather quiet, not much moving in the cold and wind. Of course I always hear the Ovenbirds, high in trees singing, a few Common Yellowthroats singing and of course the Hermit Thrushes. So it was a day to putter around the house. Lexi was happy to have me home for the day and Larry got home early.

A few wet Lupins from an early rain shower.

Shinleaf
Wild Sarsaparilla

Hermit Thrush - he joined me in part of my walk.

Enjoy your day!

  1. Two new plants for me today... sweet. Thank you Kim. :) Enjoy your day at work. I too am working today. I'd far rather be out enjoying the sunshine. :(
