Day 120 - 10th June 2018 - Chipmunk, Robin and Lily Pads

It's a beautiful morning, up too early but I've enjoyed watching the day start. Crows and Owls are in the distance calling. A Loon is at the head of the lake - his mournful song echos all around. There could be a hundred Song Sparrows singing along the edge of the woods, but really only a few. Daylight came lazy through the trees and in the blink of an eye fog wrapped her arms around everything. It will lift and be another nice day. And just for a few minutes one can believe there is nothing wrong in the world.  Think a hour at the Industrial Park chasing birds will be just the thing before work this morning. Saturday was a busy day all around the museum complex. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing a gale (hard for a girl to hang on to her bonnet). Grabbed a few groceries on the way home had supper then threw a load of laundry in and went for a walk. Tea with Lois on her deck, swatting blackflies and catching up on our last few days.

I woke this Chipmunk up from his nap.

Gathering nesting materials, I wasn't keen on her choice and in the end she didn't use it.

Lily Pads are beginning to appear in the lake.

Enjoy your day!
