Day 222 - 14th August 2017 - Great Blue Heron, Alder Flycatcher and Grandmother's Journal

Beautiful morning out there - stars are shining with the moon in the sky. We've had no much fog lately I'd almost forgotten what the stars look like. Sunday was a day of rain, drizzle and fog making it a mostly stay in the house day. Oh it did clear about 8pm,and was lovely. I spent most of my time doing meal preps, lunch box meals and some housework. Ugh, I would much rather have been roaming a beach somewhere.
Grandmother's Journal:
14 Aug 1977 - No swallows around yesterday. Last time I saw5 young together. No birds singing now. Overcast, some rain all day. Hard Showers tonight. Company all day. Fran Simmns her fist, Harold Dowling & family, Eleanor S. ad family, Boggils from Lockeport, Gertrude, Lawrence & Ralph Kean and wives. Bettie & Stan. Didn't get much done this afternoon.
15 August 1977 - Overcast and drizzle early. Clearing and beautiful this evening. Kim came up with us. Gorgeous tonight. No birds around now. Saw twin fawns on way home. Home at 5 o'clock.
