Day 267 - 28th September 2017 - Butterfly and Yellow Rumped Warbler

Yesterday was indeed a long day. Got the grocery shopping done -forgot at least 3 things. Did a little jaunt around the hood - only Chickadees and Nuthatches  - not  a Warbler insight. I did have a Hermit Thursh Monday evening in the yard, first I've seen for a few days. Made it to Kentville, had supper at Paddy's Pub and were settled in at Fidelis House before 6:30 pm. It's a nice cozy place with kitchen facilities, living /tv room etc.  run by Volunteers if you need a place to stay while at the Hospital for surgery/appointments,etc. It was a nice day for the drive up, except as has been the case for the last week  -too humid!! Slept til 4:30 got up around 5am, not bad for me.. Sounds like rain out there. This is the big day, the one we've been waiting for and I've been stressing over!! Actually feel calmer today than I've felt in weeks! Fingers crossed and a small prayer that by early afternoon Larry is back in his room recovering from the surgery and everything has gone just as it should.

Butterflies have been amazing this fall.

Why they are called Yellow Rumped Warblers.

Enjoy your day
