Day 141 - 1st July 218 - American Redstart, Cedar Waxwing and Yellow Warbler

Happy Canada Day Everyone!! It feels almost as hot and humid as it did when I went to bed last night. This is the kind of weather we usually get in late July/early August. Ugh! Well we can't do anything about the weather - just remember it when we are complaining about the cold in January. I don't really mind the heat, just the high humidity.  Larry put the air conditioner in the bedroom window yesterday - good timing, made it much more comfortable for sleeping last night. In the work get up - it's pretty uncomfortable. I'm off the next couple of days so am not too worried. Pretty quiet at work yesterday, all the celebration festivities are in Lockeport or Clark's Harbour this weekend. I think we'll head to a beach in search of shore birds this morning.  Beaches are best in the mornings before loads of people get there.
