Day 71 - 12th March 2018 - Gull, Long Tail Ducks and Loon

Here we are starting off the week once again, hopefully everyone survived the time change yesterday.  I had an early night and am back to my normal wake up time this morning. We had a great Sunday, Cathy, Harold, Larry and I went to the Argyler Lodge for brunch to celebrate Cathy & Larry's  birthdays (January). We've been doing it every year for a while and it's a nice time together. Was a little worried when we left home about the roads, but once we got to the highway, there was no snow or very little. Apparently just us country folks were blessed with it. Of course it's hard to go somewhere like that and not eat too much! But it was really good - potato soup, scrambled eggs, herbed dressing, seafood casserole, red velvet trifle and there was lots more. We took a detour to Pubnico and Dennis Point on the way home to see what was around the wharves. Lots of Gulls, Guillemot, Loons, Long Tail Ducks, Eiders. A quick stop in Barrington at the No Frills, then we were headed home. Larry put wood in the basement and I puttered around the house.

Immature Herring Gull (I think) with Conch.
Long tail Ducks in the foreground, with Eiders. They were too far for a good shot.

Loon.

Enjoy your day!
