Day 287- 14th October 2015 - Chipmunk, Sunrise and Grandmother's Journal

Wednesday - a day to roam the hood and do a bit of housework. Get a few meals prepped for the next couple of days. Sounds exciting.
Tuesday was a wet and wild day - lots of rain and plenty of wind. On a up note - it was mild, but we did build a fire in the furnace last evening. Seemed to be 10 degrees colder in the house than outside. I had a busy morning at work - people in researching, then I had the afternoon to work on some other projects and get paperwork ready for an upcoming meeting.
Grandmother's Journal:
9 Oct 1976: Overcast rain all day. Miserable but warm. Bobbie & Mike only company today. Worked real hard getting ready for Mother's 80th Birthday Party. Still lots to do. Tired tonight. The squirrels are a nuisance around the apple trees - very destructive.
10th Oct 1976: Rain over this morning. An awful night - high winds and rain. Had Birthday Party for Mother - all family except Jimmie here, 15 of us. No other company until Ransome & Ena up tonight. Came in cold windy today. Good to have a long weekend. Reggie & Gertrude's broken in sometime since Friday afternoon (maybe Saturday night). Bobbie, Mike & Kim found on their way up this afternoon.

We lost another Chipmunk in a yard the other day - Larry found him in Lexi's water bucket on the deck.
Lots of Sparrows around.

I didn't do this tree justice, should have been further away, it looks like a bonsai tree hanging over the lake.
A few more sunrise photos from the other day.
Reflecting in the lake.

Enjoy your day!
