Day 259 - 15th September 2016 - Brown Creeper, Common Yellowthroat and Flicker

A little rain overnight, doesn't look like we had much. Off to work, on my own the next few days, but have lots to keep me busy. Don't forget the Whirligig Festival is Saturday and Sunday on the waterfront. There are always lots of cool ones - some people have great imagination.
A great day at home. Did some cooking for meals the rest of the week, roam around the hood and some housework.  The hood is so quiet these days, I really have to work hard to find anything. I'm sure I combed every inch - only to come up with a Brown Creeper, some Common Yellowthroat Warblers, Song Sparrows, Flickers, Blue Jays and Grackles.  IN the afternoon a few Palm Warblers were bopping around the yard. No Hummingbird all day but after supper one appeared. Maybe one passing through. One feeder still has some feed so will leave that out for  while. Leaves are falling, but can't think we will have a good show of color as dry as it has been.
Brown Creeper - so easy to miss them.

Common Yellowthroat
Autumn is approaching - leaves are falling.
A Flicker was very curious and friendly yesterday morning.

Enjoy your day!
