Day 123 - 03 May 2013 - Geese, Man in Bucket, Harbour

Yeah it's Friday, temperature is +8 this morning so promises to be another nice day and a fine weekend. So my brain is rather tired this morning and I'm having a hard time coming up with something to write. Oh maybe some days are like that and it is afterall the end of the work week.
Thursday was a long day, work all day, hair appointment and then exercise class. Day went pretty well but I was beat by the time I got home at the end.
Grandmother's Journal :
2nd May 1974 - Very windy, very cold, sunny. Mother, Bob and I to Valley for trees, up early back early. Mother, Bob and I to MC . I went to Doris McKay's to bridge.
3rd May 1974 - Potatoes  Fine, sunny and windy. Bob to MC to plant trees. Got in 50. Mother brought me home. Stayed all night. Good to be back. I worked all afternoon until most bed time getting things away. Planted 3 rows of potatoes.
4th May 1974 - Raining today. Tom stayed in house all night. To town for a load of things. Didn't meet a person. Lots of rain down. We need it. River low. Dipping kiacks this past week. Snow mixed with rain. Worked to put clothes etc away. Road ruff and full of water. Haven't  heard many birds yet this year. Lots of partridges around fields. Rain until bed time.
Geese were in the lake as I walked over to meet Nancy in the morning, don't think they are Kate and William - a little too skittish.
Can just see them behind the branch. Trees are budding up nicely - adding some color.
Hairy Woodpecker stopped for a minute to see what I was up to.
Man in a crane with a chain saw cutting down a tree in someone's yard.
 Fishing boat in the Harbour.
There are always lots of buoys in the Harbour, think they use some for the sailboat races.

Gulls on the waterfront are much more common.

Enjoy your day!

I hope you have a good day and before you know it you will be back in the swing of things. Will call you on my way home from Halifax to report in :)
