Sunday, temperature is +2.1. Suppose to be a messy day and I see Environment Canada has the big red bar "Wind warning" up. I'm sure we won't be topping last weekends wind. Sounds like an inside day - rain then turning to snow/blowing snow and this apparently will continue into Monday morning, although it doesn't seem we are getting huge quantities of either. Might be a good day to spend a few hour in that storage room we started clearing out a few weeks ago. I think I soon need to go back to my New Year's Resolutions and see what exactly I planned on getting done this year, less than two months in and I've already forgotten. I know there were a couple of things that I wanted to accomplish over the winter months.
A mad dash to town yesterday morning, got the banking done, groceries and unloaded the truck for the yardsale all by 9 am. We helped out at the sale until noon. Hope things picked up later. If you had kids it was a buyer's paradise, more toys then you could imagine. I've been doing the Great Back Yard Bird Count which started on Friday and ends Monday. Kind of fun - Friday I had a decent count, Saturday not so great as it was mild and not much happening at the feeders. My Red Polls came through late in the afternoon - about 32 of them and of course the ever faithful chickadees. We even drove down along the river but no ducks in sight. Larry put some wood in the basement and then he and Lexi went for a drive and run and I went for a walk - sometimes it's nice to go by yourself.
I've been practicing on some of my sky shots, trying to get some more depth to them. I think it's working.
The sky had started to darken and everything was quite still.
Down along the river.
There are always a few clumps of grasses that survive the snow and wind.
Even in the winter time the Wisteria is interesting.
The Chickadees love to hide among the tree branches.
Time for a refill of coffee. Enjoy your day!
Nice sky photos. One of the other things you planned on completing was the photos and that storage room lol I am sure you are making headway lol. Cold here today and last night at the track we almost froze one marguarita was enough. They ran out of coffee and we settled for hot chocolate. My battery drained because I had the Bluetooth on. Well hopefully you guys won't get the mess they are getting in new England. Have a good day!
