Day 312 - 12th November 2017 - Red Winged Blackbird, Old Fences and a Blue Jay

The seasons have changed, summer is officially gone and we've jumped into late fall. I don't think winter is suppose to come til the 21st of December or somewhere around there. Beautiful morning out there, hard frost on the grass, the sun is coming up over the lake. The feeder birds - Blue Jays, Chickadees, Mourning Doves and Nuthatches are arriving for breakfast. I can hear a flock of Goldfinches high in a tree. They've not been here since last spring. We had a lazy start to Saturday and then the day seem to stay that way. We had intentions of doing some birding but ending up visiting and having lunch at Tim's. A little work at home in the afternoon, then the girls and I went to Trivia at the Curling Club last evening.
Female Red Winged Blackbird found her way to the yard. Usually they are spring and fall visitors.
 I love old fencing.
A Blue Jay gives me the stare down.

Enjoy your day!
